In 1975while still operating in Puerto Rico, Synectics named Anawilda Morales as its Vice President. She served in that position until her death in 1991Anawilda was a vanguard because women in business were still breaking into a male-dominated world. Without a doubt, Synectics had set the path for today’s leadership direction and having an inclusive workforce led by women.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Ana Hirsbrunner elevated to the role of President of Synectics in 2018 and started facing the challenges of leading an IT Federal contracting company.  Today, Synectics celebrates another milestone in its history and a great achievement in terms of gender equality in the business world by gaining certification as a Small Business Administration (SBA) Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) As President and majority shareholder, Ana has announced the news about this milestone stating that “it has been a long road for Synectics to complete the required process, but finally we made it and it is good news for Synectics because it opens the door for new opportunities to serve our customers.” Ana, who joined Synectics in 2006 as a Research Analyst for one of our projects, served in several operational positions to include Chief of Staff before being promoted to President.

Founded by Dr. Jack Hirsbrunner, Synectics, a Small Business, has extensive experience using various approaches for knowledge management to include the use of artificial intelligence and visualization techniques for different Federal agencies such as ACF, NSF, and HHS.
