ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification for Synectics

Synectics is excited to announce that on April 24, 2017, we achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. This achievement follows a significant effort to document our policies and practices and withstand the rigors of two on-site audits by SGS, our Certification Body. The ISO 27001 standard attests the way in which Synectics ensures security for its staff and our clients. This achievement furthers Synectics’ goal to provide secure, reliable, and high-quality products and services to our clients.

Synectics can ensure that the services and products we provide to our clients not only meet our own standards of excellence and security but are compliant with those established by the global security standard.

The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard is International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) basis for evaluating and certifying organizations for their implementation of an Information Security Standard. The standard covers a wide range of domains including data security and privacy, secure development, physical security, asset management, and staff policies and procedures. By aligning the organization with this and other ISO standards, Synectics can ensure that the services and products we provide to our clients not only meet our own standards of excellence and security but are compliant with those established by the global security standard.

This new certification augments Synectics’ achievements in 2016 where we received certifications for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 20000-1:2011. Those certifications reflect our commitment to ensuring our clients receive consistent and exceptional quality and services.

All members of the Synectics family should be proud of their contributions to a more secure Synectics, as this certification recognizes the hard work and best practices that you provide to the organization. It is because of the care and concern for data protection, integrity, and availability that you deliver that we can achieve this milestone for the organization. Special recognition is needed for Brian Taylor and Paul Kelly who spearheaded our preparations and audit activities in receiving this achievement.
