ACT-IAC Executive Leadership Conference (ELC)

On October 22-25, the American Council of Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) held its annual Executive Leadership Conference (ELC) in Williamsburg, VA. ELC is a government IT event connecting senior government and industry executives. Given the incredible technological changes that have been taking place, this year’s focus was on being Change Agents and stepping outside the box and transforming public service. One of our attendees, Josh Barr, Director of Client Solutions, reported that “ELC was a collaborative learning environment that provides insight into the next phase government. Being able to interact with industry executives and government officials provides great insight into what 2017 will bring to the public sector. Reconnecting and meeting new companies is always a bonus, outside of the conference’s content.

Among the speakers were H.E. Lars Gert Lose, Ambassador of Denmark to the United States; Dr. Antonio M. Oftelie, Fellow, Technology and Entrepreneurship Center, Harvard University; Ray Wang, Principal Analyst, Founder, and Chairman, Constellation Research, Inc.; and Tony Scott, Federal Chief Information Officer, White House Office of Management and Budget.
