  Information Technology Services

James Tyson, Director of Synectics IT Group, leads an IT project meeting Information Technology (IT) Overview

Synectics has been providing IT services to clients in the Washington-Baltimore area for more than 30 years. During this time, we have enjoyed long-term relationships with federal and private-sector clients, including a number of divisions within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where we have provided technical support since 1978.

We have extensive knowledge of and expertise in leading-edge technical services.

We stay current with new and emerging technical developments and continually infuse new technologies into our own infrastructure, the better to offer sound, experience-based guidance to our customers.

Synectics’ IT services emphasize:
  • Federal Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Related IT Governance Support Services
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Applications Planning, Development, and Deployment and Operational Support
  • Web Site and Web Applications Design, Development, Deployment, and Operational Support
  • General IT Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Services
  • IT Security
We support a wide range information management systems and technologies, and offer particular subject-area expertise in federal grants management, administrative, and financial applications.

Additional areas of expertise include technology reviews and assessments; IT investment decision-making; business process re-engineering and information engineering; and data warehouse planning, design, and development. We develop reports and recommendations and provide both written and oral briefings, as well as training.
